Faculty
Our faculty is selected from professionals with decades of experience in the arts, as well as teaching students in studios, theaters, and the classrooms. These artists bring their own talents as well as a love for their craft to the classrooms and studios.
A'nne Collins (Dance)
Ánne Collins is a native of Rochester, PA. She is a recent graduate of Slippery Rock University with a BA in Dance and an Adapted Physical Activity minor. Ánne has choreographed and performed with the Slippery Rock University Dance Theatre and Jazz/Tap Ensemble and in the Faculty and Senior Synthesis concerts at SRU. Ánne has been able to accomplish work with the Rock Dance Company, Big Day Entertainment (Pittsburgh), and opportunities to work with countless other artists. She has attended workshops and festivals both nationally and internationally. Currently, Ánne is performing with Washington Talent and Glyde Productions (Washington DC). Dance is her passion of and she is looking forward to teaching at the Henry Mancini Arts Academy.
David Granati (Guitar)
David has taught guitar at the Lincoln Park Performing Arts Charter School. He is the lead guitarist of the Granati Brothers and owns his own recording studio, DaveWorld Productions. David was nominated for "player of the year" by Guitar Player Magazine in 1981. The Granati Brothers are veteran performers who have performed or recorded with Van Halen, Bruce Springsteen, J. Geils, the Doobie Brothers, Peter Frampton and others. They rocked the nation at 78 sold out concerts with Van Halen in the 80's and have performed for over 20 million people.
Carol Holman (Accompanist/Piano)
Carol has been an accompanist for the Lincoln Park Performing Arts Charter school, the PMEA District 5 Elementary Songfest for students from Beaver, Butler, Lawrence and Mercer counties and for the 2002/2003 Beaver County Chorus. Carol conducts the PA Cyber Choir. She has 17 private piano students and is the accompanist for the Mancini All Stars.
Joshua Jones (Voice)
Joshua is a graduate of Temple University where he earned his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Vocal Performance. He teaches at the Lincoln Park Performing Arts Charter School. Joshua has performed with the Pittsburgh Musical Theater, Pittsburgh CLO and Center Theater Players. He has toured with the International Continental Singers and was director of the Diamond Street vocal ensemble in Philadelphia for eight years.
Marissa Lang (Dance)
Marissa Lang is from Beaver, PA. She is a recent graduate from Slippery Rock University, and holds a BA degree in Dance and a minor in Business Administration. While attending SRU Marissa received the Lucy Issaco Academic Scholarship and the Outstanding Dance Major award. Marissa has choreographed and performed for SRU Dance Theatre, Jazz/Tap Ensemble, and the Faculty concerts. She had the honor of being the Student Director of SRU dance theatre and the Rock Dance Company. She was the secretary of Sigma Rho Delta, dance honorary and student worker for the dance department. Marissa has worked with numerous artists including, Doug Varone, Amy Marshall, River North Chicago, Camille A. Brown and Tania Issac. She has attended dance festivals such as ACDFA and the American Dance Festival. She is currently performing with Etch Dance Company under the direction of Elisha Halpin. Marissa is very excited to be part of the Henry Mancini Arts Academy staff this year!
Rosh Raines (Acting)
A local boy at heart Rosh loves teaching and directing in the Beaver County area. He received his BA in Theatre: Performance and Directing from Belhaven University. He has directed at Geneva College, Beaver County Christian School, and Rochester Area High School to name a few. He teaches Acting with the Artreach Program as well as a Coach for the The Pittsburgh Public Theatre Shakespeare Competition. His acting credits include Oklahoma! (Ike Skidmore), A Christmas Story (Black Bart, Santa), Liberty Theater; Much Ado About Nothing (Claudio), Love's Labour's Lost (Longaville), Pittsburgh Shakespeare in the Parks; Behold the Lamb, Ruth, Miracle of Christmas, In The Beginning, Daniel, Sight and Sound Theatre; among others. He also just worked as the Props Coordinator for the Pittsburgh CLO's Production of Sound of Music.
Shaun Rolly (Stage Movement)
Shaun teaches stage movement at the Lincoln Park Performing Arts Charter School. Shaun is a professional fight director, stuntman and actor with 200 theater credits. His training and affiliations are with the Society of American Fight Directors, United Stuntman's Association and The International Order of the Sword and the Pen. He is a member of the AGMA Union. He has taught at Carnegie Mellon University, Point Park University and Duquesne University.
Krista Shovlin (Dance)
Krista Shovlin currently serves as the Director of the Henry Mancini Arts Academy and on the dance faculty of the Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center and Charter School. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance from Slippery Rock University, where she choreographed and performed in group and solo works with the Slippery Rock University Dance Theater as well as faculty and guest artists' pieces with Helanius J. Wilkins of Edgeworks Dance Theater and Michele de la Reza and Peter Kope of Attack Theatre. Krista has studied intensively with current dance icons, Brian Friedman, Wade Robson, Darrin Henson, Jermaine Browne, Brian "Footwork" Green and the legendary Frank Hatchett at the Broadway Dance Center in New York City. Lincoln Park credits include The Nutcracker, Dances with Mancini, Ballet du Bond, Shall We Dance?, Stardust and Liberty Theater's productions of Oklahoma! and Side by Side by Sondheim. She is the choreographer for Lincoln Park's contemporary performance group, Ensemble Immersion. Krista's choreography can be seen in the PA Department of Health's Stop H1N1 music video and she has also choreographed and appeared in Arts Alive! educational videos.
Lindsey Stefanski (Vocal)
Jason Michael Swauger (Musical Theater/Acting)
Jason is a graduate of Beaver High School and has a BFA in musical theatre from Point Park University. His Pittsburgh Musical Theater stage credits include the Cowardly Lion in The Wizard of Oz, Rum Tum Tugger in Cats, Adam and Noah in Children of Eden. Jason performed in Nickelodeons’ Rugrats Live World Tour, which took him to London, England; Dublin, Ireland; Sydney, Australia; and Radio City Music Hall in New York City. After hosting Double Dare 2000 on the "All That" Tour, he returned home to begin teaching and is now the Assistant Director of the Henry Mancini Arts Academy. Jason also has a one-man show of Christian music that he performs at churches through out the Pittsburgh area, raising money for local charities. He and his wife, Summer, live in Crafton, Pennsylvania.
