Welcome to the Henry Mancini Academy! I am thrilled to have joined the Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center, taking over as the new Director of the Mancini Academy in September. After years in New York, it is wonderful to be back in my hometown of Pittsburgh, bringing my extensive experience as a performer and arts educator to the Lincoln Park community. I’m eager for you to join us in our scheduled curriculum for the spring, as well as for the special programs, master classes and workshops we have planned.
Our experienced, professional faculty provide the finest dance, voice and acting training in a positive, challenging and nurturing environment. We are a place for students ages three to adult to discover their own unique potential through creative artistic expression. We are dedicated to the development of not only strong musical theater performers, but more importantly, strong, responsible, happy people.
In combination with providing the highest quality of training for our students, it is my belief that opportunities for stage performance are an integral part of the development of musical theater performers. That is why we will be offering a Performance Project each semester, as well as in our summer camps. I hope you will join us this spring for Disney’s The Jungle Book Kids. It is sure to be an unforgettable learning experience, and one heck of a good time!
Whether your child longs to meet friends who share in their love of singing, dancing and acting, or they are hoping to work with like-minded professionals who can guide them in their pursuit of a career in musical theater, the Henry Mancini Academy is a welcome home for them.
If you are new to our program, welcome to the family! If you are one of our treasured returning families, thank you for your continued support of the Henry Mancini Academy at Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center.
