Henry Mancini Academy has a very strict placement policy to ensure that our dance students receive all of the benefits of our integrated curricula, variety of teachers, and opportunity for personal growth. Classes are offered in various age categories as well as skill levels beginning with our very young students and moving steadily through all of our age categories up to our adult level classes.
Safety is a primary goal at Mancini Academy. To ensure that our students are taking part in activities that are designed to enhance their proper growth and development physically, mentally, and artistically, we insist that all students must register for classes within their age category. A student can only register for the next oldest age category if he/she will be aging into that older group during that semester. For example, a 7 year old can register for the 8-12 year old class in September if she will celebrate her 8th birthday before June 30th, 2017. Students with birthdays during the Spring Semester may also “age-up” when registering for the Spring Semester.
Henry Mancini Academy conducts classes in the Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center. The Center is located at 1 Lincoln Park, Midland, PA 15059.

The sign-in desk is located on the second floor of the Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center. A guard is stationed at the 10th Street door to provide entry to the building. Parents will bring their child to the second floor and sign in at the desk; this includes students, siblings and adults. Please do not open any exterior doors to let people in. Children ages 12 and under must be accompanied by parent or guardian to the second floor, signed in, accompanied to waiting room until faculty arrives to take the child to class. No exceptions. Adult family members may remain in the waiting area only during class (LPPAC is off limits); if student’s siblings accompany adults to the waiting room we ask that there be no running through the building and hallway, climbing on chairs or any actions that might be harmful to the child. No younger siblings may be left on their own in the building or waiting area.
Please be sure that you follow the proper sign out procedure before leaving the building. All persons entering the building must enter and exit through the 10th St door (building entrance across from St George Serbian Orthodox Church); any other doors should not be opened from the inside for entry or used for any other reason to exit, with the exception of a building emergency.
In the event of an emergency and you are waiting in the building for a student, please follow the evacuation notice posted in that room. All students will be evacuated from the building by their instructor following the evacuation route. All parents, guardians and students should meet in the park behind the Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center.
No student under the age of 12 will be permitted to leave the building at the end of their classes without being escorted by a parent or assigned guardian – there will be no exceptions. Students under the age of 12 are not permitted to leave the building to meet their parents in the parking lot or elsewhere nor are they permitted to walk home alone.
Parents/guardians must provide HMA staff with a list of no more than 4 names of adults authorized to pick up their student. They must provide photo ID for these adults. The HMA staff will have a folder for each student which the staff can access at the registration desk to ensure that the adult picking up the child is authorized. This includes adults who are carpooling students.
Students who are permitted to drive to and from HMA class must have written authorization from their parent and must provide the HMA staff with the license plate number of the car or cars they will be driving. HMA staff will issue parking plaques for the students’ cars.
